  4. Dante Troubadours Medieval Music This has been my go-to disc for troubadour music for some time. It has some of my favorite pieces in that vein, such as Kalenda Maya, and the tunes are performed nicely, with lively percussion and those droning high-pitched voices that I suppose might annoy some people. Martin Best and his Mediaeval.

The source of the song is a manuscript (Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale, fonds français ) written in western Provence in c. , now known as troubadour.
